Rustic Retreat

This rustic retreat is set on a property surrounded by a stunning wooded area with a small brook running through the front yard. We drew inspiration from the beauty of this setting and incorporated it into the landscape design for a backyard sanctuary. 

By working closely with the client, we learned they wanted to make use of the large outdoor spaces for entertaining guests. They specifically requested a swimming pool, fire pit, artificial putting green and a water feature in the rear yard. We lined the small brook with a rustic stone to give a defined edge, reduce erosion on the side banks and to create an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Other key features added to the space include large natural stone outcropping walls, a circulating water feature, large slab pavers that are separated with grass, low-maintenance plantings for a pop of color, landscape lighting for outdoor living after sunset and an irrigation system to keep the lawn and beds properly hydrated.
